You will cross the Southern part of the "ile de France", throught the plains of the Brie region and the Fontainebleau forest before reaching the Royal Palace of Fontainebleau and its gardens (visit of the castle on your own). This medieval castle was rebuilt in 1528 and used as the residence of the French Kings from François Ist to Napoleon III.
